The K13 moves air at 26 meters a second and keeps the heat moderate, which is how it dries quickly without the scorched feel of an old-style dryer. A sensor reads the air temperature up to 110 times a second and holds it steady.
The screen on the back shows speed and heat at a glance. A Quick Shift button jumps to cool air, starts a hot and cool cycle, or returns to your own setting. The concentrator and diffuser attach with magnets, and the dryer clears dust from its filter by running the motor in reverse for ten seconds.
Know before you buy
The top air temperature is listed at 95 °C, lower than a classic salon dryer. A buyer who likes hot air found it too mild. That is the design, and it will not suit everyone.

I was attempting to diffuse my hair this morning and it started making a horrible whiny noise and smelling really bad.It has cut off on me a few times before but I thought it was nothing.I watched a video on my dryer. And it has a way to clean it out. I did that and it started working.I have a lot of hair and it’s long. It had sucked some of it up into the motor. After doing the clean out it started working just fine. SORRY.

I wanted to love this hair dryer with my whole heart—and honestly, it almost made it. It’s lightweight (my arm thanks you), surprisingly quiet (my eardrums thank you), and powerful enough to blast through my thick-ish hair in minutes. That’s impressive, considering my last dryer cost almost $140 and wheezed like it was going up a flight of stairs.So why only 4 stars? Two reasons:1. It just doesn’t get hot enough for me.I like my heat HOT-hot—like “am I blow-drying or forging steel?” hot. This one hits a warm-but-not-scorching level, and my thicker hair never quite makes it to fully dry territory. Close… but not Sahara Desert vibes.2. The digital screen likes to start fresh every time.The screen itself is bright and fancy, which is fun—BUT every time I turn the dryer off between sections, I have to re-select the speed and heat settings. Every. Single. Time. I wish it remembered my preferred “lava blast” mode, but nope. It’s like meeting the dryer for the first time over and over again.Overall, it’s a good dryer—lightweight, quiet, sleek, and strong. Why does my CONFU K13 smell or whine?
The filter is probably clogged. Run the 10-second self-cleaning cycle: with the power on, hold Quick Shift and press the power switch. A buyer who had the noise and the smell reports that cleaning fixed both.
