Full salon wattage with a dial, and a big diffuser for curls
This dryer puts salon wattage behind a slider. Push it up for a strong stream when you rough-dry, pull it back to a low flow when the diffuser is cupping a section of curls. Heat is set separately: cool, warm or hot.
The diffuser is wide and deep, the kind that holds a handful of hair. A concentrator is included for smooth styles, the filter at the back comes off for cleaning, and the cord is 7.7 feet.
Know before you buy
At 1.5 lb it is heavier than our compact dryers, and buyers with weaker wrists notice. One buyer reports the dryer switching itself off after six or seven minutes, which is the overheat protection at work: keep the rear filter clean.

Use the dryer in a dry room and keep it away from a filled sink or tub. Unplug it after use.

Out of 5 hairdryers, my wife's never had one that just shut off after using it, except this one. She's tried it with long and short hair now, but it always shuts off after 6 or 7 minutes.

Why does my CONFU 1875W Ionic dryer shut off?
The overheat protection has tripped. It cuts power when air cannot flow freely, usually because of lint on the rear filter. Unplug the dryer, let it cool for 10 minutes, clean the filter and start again.
